Our local public beach, Tunstall Bay, is perfect for swimming, watching the cruise ships set sail for Alaska, kayaking and taking a late night dip with the phosphorescence.

“A slice of heaven! Quaint, cozy and beautifully designed. Kirsten is communicative, generous and friendly. Highly recommend!”

We are your local island dwellers, Geoff and Kirsten—proud parents to Logan and Chloe. Three generations of our family have called Bowen Island, BC, home since 1978, so it’s safe to say we’re true Bowen Islanders (though we might still need to check the rule book!).

We started Woodlands Guesthouse Ltd. in 2022 and have loved welcoming travellers to our property and the beautiful Bowen Island. It’s always a joy to see our island through the eyes of those experiencing Bowen Island, BC, or even Canada for the first time.

Our love for this land and sea also led us to create Mountain Tide Adventures Ltd.—a wilderness company offering guided hikes through the peaceful, unpopulated trails of Gambier Island, Garibaldi, and Cypress Provincial Parks. These unique excursions give guests a chance to explore the natural beauty surrounding Bowen Island and beyond.

When we’re not on our little rock in the Salish Sea, you’ll find us exploring our beautiful province or heading south in our camper with our kiddos and mutts. We love everything Bowen Island and British Columbia have to offer, and we hope you will too!

Thank you, Kirsten, for the most tranquil getaway. This space is so beautifully designed and such an oasis; full of natural light and foliage. Kirsten was so responsive and helpful. This was the perfect place for a couple of nights away!
